224 hospitalized with dengue

No patient has died due to dengue infection in the last 24 hours in the country. As a result, the number of deaths due to dengue remains unchanged at 266. 

However, at the same time, 224 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue infection in different parts of the country including Dhaka.

This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Monday.

According to the notification, 119 people have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 105 people outside Dhaka among dengue patients.

At present, a total of 980 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 523 patients in 53 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 457 patients in other departments.

This year, 60 thousand 522 patients have been admitted to hospital due to dengue. Among them 38 thousand 223 people in Dhaka and 22 thousand 299 people outside Dhaka.

59 thousand 276 people have recovered from the hospital after treatment. Among them, 37 thousand 536 people in Dhaka and 21 thousand 740 people outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
