Finding new gold and copper mines in Saudi Arabia

A new mine rich in gold and copper has been discovered in the holy city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) announced this information in an announcement. Saudi Press Agency published this news citing the organization.
According to SGS, gold ore has been discovered within the
boundaries of Aba al-Raha on the slopes of the Umm al-Barak Hejaz in the Medina
region. Copper ore was also discovered at four locations in Al-Madiq area
of Wadi Al-Fara region of Medina, Saudi Gazette reported. It is helpful
in the production of special copper from the mineral chalcocite scattered
there. The discovery of these new mines will accelerate the pace of
investment in Saudi Arabia.
Note that Saudi Arabia's annual copper and zinc concentrate
production is 68,000. Besides, 2 crore 46 lakh tons of phosphate ore is
mined, with which 52 lakh 60 thousand tons of phosphate fertilizers are
produced. Saudi Arabia ranks among the top five producers of phosphate
fertilizers in the world.
