Samantha Ruth Prabhu made a great debut in Bollywood with 'The Family Man'. The actress was getting offers of Hindi movies one after another. When her career took the next step, bad news—the actress suffered from the rare disease myositis. It was already known that Samantha will also act in the next film 'Citadel' of the producer of 'The Family Man'. After rumors of illness broke out, he withdrew from the series. However, the southern star has announced acting in the series dispelling the rumours.

Samantha released a movie after her illness - 'Yashoda'. He was seen doing
the action of Dhundhuma in the film. After some scenes of the film were shot, he performed in action scenes despite illness. A few days ago, the trailer of Samantha's new film 'Shakuntala' was released. Samantha appeared in the promotion of the film.

Samantha will be seen in Raj and Dick's new series 'Citadel'

New news, Samantha has started shooting for the much discussed series 'Citadel'. Amazon Prime posted a picture of Samantha on Instagram this morning and said, 'Our mission has begun. We have started shooting for the Indian part of 'Citadel'.'

About the series, Samantha said, 'When Prime Video and Raj and DK offered the series, I decided to be a part of it. After working with “The Family Man” team, it was like coming home to me. I am thrilled to be a part of this great project.'

Samantha will be seen with Varun Dhawan for the first time in the series. Samantha is happy to have the opportunity to work with Bollywood star Varun, 'For the first time I am going to work with Varun, someone who will be by your side with endless vitality.'

'Citadel' is basically an action series created by Russo Brothers. Raj and DK will direct the Indian part of the series. The anthology series also stars Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden among others.
