Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Sheikh Omar arrested



Israeli police have arrested Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, the director of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. However, the police did not give any reason for his arrest. A TV channel called Palestine al-Yaum reported this information on Monday.

According to the news of the TV channel, the Israeli police took Sheikh Omar to an undisclosed location after his arrest. Besides, they also seized various items from his house. News from Anadolu Agency.

Al-Aqsa Mosque Director Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani has always been vocal about the Israeli conspiracy. A few days ago, he warned the Muslims of the whole world about the Israeli conspiracy around the mosque.

Sheikh Omar said, Zionist Israel is carrying out excavation work around the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. Due to this, the existence of this mosque is under threat.

He also said that these excavation works should be stopped now. The Muslim world must be vocal in forcing Israel to stop destructive mining operations. This official said that excavation work is also being carried out under the mosque.

Sheikh Omar clearly said that the excavations carried out by Israel are against the principles and guidelines of UNESCO and the United Nations.

Excavation work is prohibited in the old Baitul Muqaddas, Masjid al-Aqsa and Al Buraq Square, he said. According to him, the destruction of Masjid al-Aqsa will start a religious war and no one can say where this war will end.

Notably, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani was detained by the Israeli police several times before.
