Auto driver won 25 crore rupees in lottery

An autorickshaw driver won 25 crore rupees in the lottery yesterday in Kerala, India. This information was given in a report published online by NDTV.

The name of this autorickshaw driver who won the 'Onam Bumper Lottery' is Anup. His home is in Sribraham, Kerala. He bought the lottery on the Saturday before the draw.

Anup was planning to go to Malaysia to work as a cook. For this he applied to the bank for a loan of three lakh rupees. A day after his application was approved, he won the lottery.

Excited Anup said, 'I got a call from the bank today (Sunday) about the loan. I said, I don't need any more loans. I will not even go to Malaysia.'

Anup has been buying lottery tickets for the past 22 years. Earlier, he won lotteries ranging from a few hundred rupees to a maximum of five thousand rupees. And this time he won 25 crore rupees.

Anup said, he did not expect to win the lottery. So I didn't even see the result of the lottery draw on TV. But he received a text message on his mobile phone. He sees that he has won the lottery.

Anup also said, 'I couldn't believe it. I showed my wife. He also confirmed that the lottery number I bought was the winning one.'

Anup said, still he was worried. So he called a man who sold lottery tickets. Send him a picture of a lottery ticket. He also confirms that this is the winning number.

Anup is likely to get around Rs 15 crore after tax is deducted.

When asked what to do with the lottery winnings, Anup said his first priority is to build a house for his family. Paying his debts.

Anup says he will help his relatives. Do some charity work too. Apart from this, he is thinking of starting a hotel business in Kerala.

Anup said, 'I will buy lottery tickets again.'

Coincidentally, an autorickshaw driver won Rs 12 crore in the Onam bumper lottery last year.
