Russian fighter jet crashes, two pilots killed

A Russian fighter jet has crashed, killing two pilots. The plane crashed on a two-story residential building in the city of Irkutsk in southern Siberia on Sunday. News from Al-Jazeera

A video of the fighter jet crashing has gone viral on the internet. It was seen there that the warplane crashed steeply on the building. A fire started there and smoke started rising.
After the incident, Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev said on social media that two families lived in the building where the fighter jet crashed. But no one was injured. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire.  
Irkutsk is an industrial center of Russia. More than 6 lakh people live there.

The city also has an aircraft factory. Su-30 fighter jets are built in the factory. According to the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, the crashed fighter was also a Su-30 model. It participated in a training.
Less than a week ago, a Su-34 fighter jet crashed in Yeisk, Russia. It also crashed into a multi-storey residential building. 15 people were killed in that incident. Su-34 fighter jets are widely used by Russia in the battlefields of Syria and Ukraine.
