Two accused in Rangunia's murder case arrested from Hathajari



RAB-7 arrested two accused in the murder case in South Rangunia. The arrested are Kamal Uddin Prakash Gach Kamal (38), son of the deceased Badsha Mia of the village of South Rangunia Maishabam and Md. of the same area. Son of Nurul Islam. Yusuf (24). They were arrested in separate raids at Baluchhara Cantonment Railway Station and Kaptai road head area early last Friday morning.

According to RAB sources, Gach Kamal and Md. were arrested in South Rangunia on July 19 due to previous enmity. Yusuf went to Enam Uddin's residence with his team and shot him dead in front of his wife. In the said incident, the victim's younger brother filed a murder case against 5 named and unknown 7/8 persons directly involved in the incident at Rangunia police station. Since the case was registered, RAB-7 continued shadow investigation and intelligence surveillance to arrest the accused involved in the incident. Following this, two accused were arrested early last Friday morning. During the interrogation, the detainees admitted that they were directly involved in the murder.

The arrested accused have been handed over to the respective police stations for further legal action, RAB said.
