Democrats take control of the Senate after winning in Nevada. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto won in Nevada. Her win 'guaranteed' Democrats control of the Senate in 2023. This paved the way for President Joe Biden to spend two more years smoothly.

According to the BBC, many voters do not know the name of 58-year-old Catherine Cortez Masto. They know Catherine only as a senator.

Her father, Manny, was a prominent Nevada man. She started his career in a small position but eventually became the president of a government agency. She befriended Harry Reid, a longtime Democratic senator from Nevada. Harry replaced Catherine himself.

With Catherine's victory, Democrats now hold 50 seats in the Senate. On the other hand, the Republican Party has 49 seats.

Earlier, Democrat Mark Kelly won in Arizona. This left the Republican Party and Democrats tied for the Senate.

The BBC reported that any party would need 51 seats to gain control of the 100-seat Senate. A win in one of the remaining seats would allow the incumbent to retain control of the Senate.

Georgia will hold a runoff vote on Dec. 6 after no candidate received 50 percent of the vote to win control of the Senate.

Now the results of Georgia are left. Whichever house the state's results fall into, they will get control of the Senate. Political analysts believe that the control of the Senate is going to the Bidens.
