Old woman killed by elephant attack in Bandarban

An old woman named Khatija Bibi (65) died after being
attacked by a wild elephant in Bandarban's Lama. She is the wife of deceased
Fajr Ali of Sohrabpara of Upazila. Two more people were injured in this
incident.
The incident took place on Friday (November 4) at 8 am in
Aziznagar Union of the upazila.
The injured are - shopkeeper Amir Ali (50) of Moghbazar area
of the upazila and Mozammel Haque Boyati (65) of Jamalpara. They were rescued
and admitted to Chakaria Government Hospital.
Eyewitness said. Zakaria and Md. Bablu said, Khatija Bibi fell in front of a group of elephants when she went to the mountain ridge near the house in the morning for household work. At that time, if he was released, he died. After that, a group of elephants vandalized the shop of Amir Ali in Mugh Bazar and Mozammel Haque Bayati's house in Jamal Para. Two people were injured. They were rescued and taken to hospital.
Aziznagar Police Camp IC Enamul Haque said the dead body was recovered and sent home. The injured are being treated.
