Apart from talking, photography is one of the popular uses of cell phones. No one wants to buy traditional cameras anymore for these cameras. Its popularity is increasing day by day due to ease of use, speed and improvement in camera quality.

Cellphone photography has some advantages and disadvantages over taking pictures with a conventional camera.

Its advantages include:

» Cellphone cameras are generally more portable than other cameras. Sometimes you can take pictures with them without attracting people's attention. As a result, the image is more spontaneous.

» Cellphone cameras often have features, such as filters, editing, zoom, flash, and auto focus, that make taking pictures much easier.

» Images from these cameras can be instantly shared and feedback on internet and social media platforms.

Disadvantages on the other hand are:

» Cellphone cameras may have lower resolution, dynamic range and lower optical quality of lenses than other cameras, which may affect image clarity, detail, etc.

» Cellphone cameras may have limited battery life and storage capacity, which may limit the number and duration of photos.

» These cameras can be affected by environmental factors, such as dust, humidity, etc., which can cause problems with the camera lens or sensor.

Some tips and tricks

» Use natural light as much as possible. It can create beautiful shadows and highlights. Avoid using flash unless absolutely necessary. Because flash can create unnecessary shadows and dull the natural colors of the subject.

» Try taking pictures from different angles. Try photographing the subject from different angles and from high or low, rather than photographing what is directly visible. Move the photo further or closer to the subject as needed. It will give a new look to your photos.

» Can use gridlines to draw pictures. The most popular gridline rule is the Rule of Thirds. It consists of two horizontal and two vertical lines dividing the picture frame into nine equal parts. You can photograph your subject or other elements along these lines or at their intersections to create a balanced image. Most cell phones can use these gridlines on the screen.

» Take some precautions when editing your photos. Editing exposure, contrast, color, sharpness and other aspects will make your photos more beautiful. However, excessive editing can make your photos look unnatural or distorted. You can use apps like Snapseed, Lightroom, PicsArt etc. for photo editing. But it's best not to rely on too much editing.

» Manually set the camera's focus by tapping on the image on the cell phone screen where you want it for perfect focus. This will keep your subject sharp and clear and blur the background depending on the lens aperture.

» Increase or decrease exposure to make photos more dramatic. To do that, press and hold the screen and the exposure slider will appear. You can increase or decrease it to get the desired result.

» You can take pictures by placing the camera on a tripod or a fixed object to take pictures at night or in low light.
