First dose of vaccine off in country after October 3: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Malek said that
the first dose of anti- coronavirus vaccine will not be given in
the country after October 3
. He said , ' Because many vaccines will have expired , there
may not be any vaccines . '
He said this at a national workshop on
the Covid 19 vaccine program for children aged
5-11 years on Saturday ( September 17 ) at noon .
The health minister said , ' I will not
be able to give
the first dose from October 3 , it will
be difficult to give the second dose . Vaccination program for children aged 5-11 years
will start from October 11 at district upazila level . '
Calling upon those who have not
taken
the first , second dose and booster dose of
the vaccine , the health minister said ,
' They should take the vaccine quickly . The
campaign will start from September 28 and will
continue till October 3 . However ,
the vaccination program will continue. This campaign
will be run as a thrust . '
The minister said
that about 3.3 million people did not take
the first dose , and about 9.4 million
people did not
take the second dose . Besides, booster doses
have been given to about 4 crore people.
The minister said , ' You have seen
what happens to the world if we can not control the corona
virus. If the corona is not under control ,
the education program is disrupted . Children going
to school are being vaccinated now . If
Corona increases , it will affect the economy . In
our industrial plants , movement will
be affected . '
Mentioning that the infection of corona has increased, the minister said ,
' We have to
be aware . We forgot to wear a mask ,
we have to wear a mask . '
