Cabin crew of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been instructed by the authorities to wear modest clothes. It states that cabin crew must wear underwear. PIA claims that the cabin crew's poor attire is 'tarnishing their image' and portraying a 'negative image' of PIA.

Jio TV has received an instruction regarding this. PIA Flight Services Manager Amir Bashir said, "It has been noted with great concern that some cabin crews wear very simple clothes without morals while going to various places including inter-city travel, hotel stays. Such clothing creates a negative attitude towards PIA in people's minds. The directive asked cabin crew to wear formal clothes over appropriate underwear. Clothing of men and women should be consistent with the cultural and national ethos of Pakistan.

In this regard, the grooming officers have been instructed to monitor the cabin crew 'at all times' and report any 'deviations' out of the rules.
