1 Rohingya died in a mine explosion in Bandarban's Noman's Land

A Rohingya was killed in a landmine explosion in Noman's Land area of ​​Tumbru border of Naikxyongchari Upazila of Bandarban. The deceased's name is Omar Farooq. This incident happened on Sunday morning.

According to public representatives and locals, some members of the Rohingya camp sheltered in the Zero Line in Konapara area near Tumbru Bazar in Ghumdhum Union of Naikxyongchari Upazila of the district went to the border fence while fishing in Jhiri.

A Rohingya died on the spot when a land mine buried by the Myanmar Border Guard exploded. Another Rohingya youth was injured.

 The deceased Omar Farooq is a member of the Rohingya camp sheltered at the zero line in the Konarpara area of ​​the Tumbru border. However, the name of the injured is not known.

 On receiving the news, the members of the Rohingya camp went to the spot and rescued the injured and took them to the Rohingya camp at the zero line. There, the body of the deceased was buried in the cemetery designated for Rohingyas.

 Rohingya camp team leader Dil Mohammad said that the injured youth is being treated locally.

 Confirming the matter, Jahangir Aziz, chairman of Ghumdhum Union Parishad, said, "The explosion happened on Sunday morning. After the explosion, the people of the Rohingya camp recovered the body and completed the burial. Another Rohingya youth has been reported injured. The victims are members of the Rohingya camp located on the zero line of the border. On September 16, a Bangladeshi youth from a hilly community was injured by a land mine explosion on the border.
