Prices of chicken and vegetables are on the rise in Chittagong

Looking around the market, it is seen that the price of vegetables has increased in the market. Cabbage and cauliflower are being sold at Tk 60 depending on the size. Cucumber is being sold at 80 to 90 taka per kg. A kg of long brinjal is being sold at Tk 90. Round eggplant is being sold at Tk 130 per kg. Tomatoes are being sold at Tk 160. A kg of SIM is being sold in the market for Tk 120 to Tk 130. Bitter gourd Tk 90, rice pumpkin piece Tk 60, each piece of gourd is sold at Tk 60 to Tk 70 per kg, sweet pumpkin Tk 50, chichinga Tk 60, potal Tk 60, rinds Tk 70, kachur lathi Tk 80, papaya Tk 50 kg, botat 80 Tk per kg, 70 Tk per kg of Dhundhul.

In these markets, green chillies are being sold at Tk 80 to Tk 90 per kg. Besides, raw bananas are being sold at 40 taka. Lemon juice is being sold for 15 to 20 taka.

Ahmed Hossain, a buyer in Karnaphuli Bazaar said, there is an interest in new vegetables. But see all the vegetables are expensive.

Jasim Uddin, a vegetable seller, said that buying new vegetables costs a lot of money, so there is no opportunity to sell them at a low price.

A kg of potato is being sold in the market for Tk 30 to Tk 40. The price of domestic onion has increased. 50 to 60 Tk per kg is being sold. 40 to 45 taka per kg of garlic in these markets. China garlic is being sold in the market for 145 to 150 taka. A kg of ginger is being sold at Tk 120.

Open sugar is being sold at Tk 105 to Tk 110 per kg in the market. Apart from this, packets of sugar are being sold at Tk 115 to Tk 120 per kg.

140 taka per kg of desi mushur dal in these markets. 110 taka per kg of Indian Mushur dal. A kg of salt is being sold at Tk 38 to Tk 40. Edible oil is being sold at Tk 178 in the market.

Farm chicken eggs are being sold at the previous price in these markets. The farm's red eggs are selling for 140 to 145 Tk per dozen. A dozen duck eggs are being sold at the previous price of Tk 195 to Tk 200. Domestic chicken eggs are 220 to 225 Tk per dozen.

A kg of beef is being sold in the market for Tk 680 to Tk 700. Khasi meat is being sold at Tk 850 to Tk 900 per kg.

The price of chicken has increased in the market. Broiler is being sold for 180 to 190 taka per kg. A kg of golden chicken is being sold at Tk 320. A kg of layer chicken is being sold at Tk 290 to Tk 300.
