6 Facebook groups in Bangladesh in the Mater Community Accelerator program
Meta has selected 6 Facebook groups in Bangladesh for the Community Accelerator Program. The parent company of Facebook said this information yesterday Thursday. This year, for the first time, Meta launched the Community Accelerator Program in Bangladesh. The program is designed to develop the leadership skills of administrators of various community-based groups on Facebook and increase community influence online.
Facebook community groups selected under the program will each receive $40,000 in Meta grants. In addition to free leadership training, group administrators will also have the opportunity to participate in the 'Meta Community Partnership Teams APAC Regional Partner Event' held in Singapore on November 4.
Social Impact and Community Department of Mater said that many groups are having a positive impact on the society by building community on Facebook in Bangladesh. Innovative groups are selected for the Community Accelerator program. As a result, the groups can play a role in the development of their community as well as fulfill their goals.

A total of 135 groups around the world have been selected for the Mater Community Accelerator program this year. Among them, there are 6 groups from Bangladesh, 7 groups from the Philippines and 3 groups from Indonesia and 1 group from Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore in the Community Accelerator Program of the Asia Pacific region.
