712 more dengue patients in hospital in one day
In the last 24 hours, 712 new patients were admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever, which is the highest number of hospitalized patients in a single day this year. At the same time, three people died due to dengue.
This information was informed in the dengue statement sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (October 8).
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 712 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever. Out of this, 499 dengue patients in Dhaka and 213 dengue patients outside Dhaka have been admitted to hospital.
At present, a total of 2,416 dengue patients are hospitalized across the country. Among them, 1 thousand 838 people are admitted in different hospitals of Dhaka and 578 dengue patients are admitted outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to October 8, the total number of patients admitted to various hospitals in the country is 20,235. Among them, the total number of patients admitted in Dhaka is 15 thousand 237 and the total number of patients admitted outside Dhaka is 4 thousand 998.
At the same time, the total number of discharged patients across the country is 17 thousand 752. Out of this, the total number of discharged patients in Dhaka is 13 thousand 365 and the total number of patients discharged outside Dhaka is 4 thousand 387.
Three people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours and a total of 67 people have died due to dengue this year.
Last year, from January 1 to December 31, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital was 28,429. At the same time, 28 thousand 265 people returned home after recovery and 105 people died due to dengue.
