Four brothers of two families got bail in the much discussed Rahima Begum disappearance case. They were released on bail from Khulna District Jail on Tuesday (October 4) evening.
After the release, Assistant Engineer of Khulna University
of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Golam Kibria said that they will file a
case against Maryam Mannan Gong because they were implicated in a false case.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, Judge Mahmuda Khatun of the Metropolitan Sessions Court granted bail to the four accused.
They were released in the evening.
They are Gholam Mohiuddin, his brother Gholam Kibria and
Rafiqul Islam Palash and his brother Md. Jewel. Helal Sharif and
Rahima Begum's second husband Belal Howladar are still in jail in this case.
Gholam Mohiuddin said coming out of the jail gate, 'Their
family has been harassed due to the false case and Maryam Mannan's
drama. If the body of the unidentified woman in Mymensingh was identified
as her mother's and Rahima Begum from Faridpur could have obtained a new birth
certificate, then we would have been accused in the murder case, we would have
been punished. '
