Sourav Ganguly has been removed as the president of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). His fans are angry. This incident has also affected Tollywood. Rudranil, an actor of Indian Bengali cinema, has already expressed his displeasure about this. Now the work of 'Kolkata 96' movie made with Sourav has stopped.

Producer Rana Sarkar said in an Indian press that the work of the movie was stopped, 'There was a frenzy in the city of Kolkata for three days around Maharaj's century at Lord's. Rahul wanted to frame that moment of madness. Maharaj said to give us some footage of that time for the convenience of the movie. But if we want to do that now, we have to do it ourselves; Which is practically impossible. If Sourav had it, we would have been able to get that footage. So I told Rahul, I will not do the film.'

Netizens have questioned whether the movie was stopped just because of the footage or there is some other reason.

However, many netizens claim that the movie was stopped due to political reasons. However, the producer did not comment on these issues.

This is the directorial debut of actor Rahul Banerjee. The report said that he could not be reached even after trying to talk on the phone.
