HSC exam started in Chittagong

This year's HSC and equivalent exams have started simultaneously across the country including Chittagong. The examination started at 11 am on Sunday (November 6) and will continue till 1 pm. Candidates entered the exam hall 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

93 thousand 889 candidates are participating in this year's HSC examination from Chittagong Education Board. Last year the number of HSC candidates was 1 lakh 1 thousand 102. Accordingly, 7 thousand 213 candidates have decreased this time.


45 thousand 339 male students and 48 thousand 543 female students from 267 educational institutions in 111 centers under Chittagong Education Board are participating in the examination. Besides, 68 thousand 996 people are participating in the examination in Chittagong district (including the metropolis), 11 thousand 454 people in Cox's Bazar, 5 thousand 115 people in Rangamati, 5 thousand 471 people in Khagrachari, 2 thousand 853 people in Bandarban.

18 thousand 675 candidates are participating from science department. Among them 9 thousand 786 male students and 8 thousand 889 female students.

17 thousand 423 male and 24 thousand 565 female students out of 41 thousand 988 candidates from humanities department. Out of 33 thousand 219 examinees from business education department, 18 thousand 130 male and 15 thousand 89 female students are participating in the examination.

Chittagong Education Board is open even on closed days to complete exams in a fair environment. Controller of Examination Narayan Chandra Nath said, the control room has been opened to send any information related to the examination to the board authorities quickly. Besides, the Chittagong Education Board has kept the office open on the Saturday before the exam for the convenience of the candidates.
