Battery operated vehicles are prohibited in DNCC from October 1

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has banned battery powered vehicles from October 1. Last Wednesday (October 14)

Public notices in this regard have been published in some media.

It is said in the public notice that numerous illegal battery operated auto-rickshaws are plying in the area under Dhaka North City Corporation. It is wasting the precious national resource electricity.

The government has taken various necessary measures to save electricity. Besides, in the monthly corporation meeting, the councilors requested to stop the illegal battery operated auto-rickshaws.

In view of which, initiatives have been taken to stop illegal auto-rickshaw movement and strict instructions have been given to those concerned to stop illegal battery-powered vehicle movement by October 1.

violation of this announcement, the concerned councilors and regional executive officers of Dhaka North City Corporation will take legal measures with the help of the police, it has been informed in the circular.
