NASA on the way to make history, push the spacecraft to change the trajectory of the asteroid

This is like science fiction. A giant asteroid is heading towards Earth. And spaceships were sent to turn his direction. The dangerous asteroid will enter another orbit after colliding with that speeding vehicle. Humanity will be saved.

The world is the witness of such a novel campaign. Courtesy NASA's 'DART' mission. Full name, 'Double Asteroid Redirection Test'.

Eastern Times Monday at 7:30 p.m. NASA's spacecraft successfully bumped into the asteroid. At that time, the asteroid was located at a distance of 10 million km from the Earth. The mission is controlled from the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, USA. However, the asteroid was unlikely to cause any damage to Earth. However, it is a great success of NASA to save the current life from destruction if a large asteroid comes towards the Earth.

To save Earth from such asteroids, NASA undertakes the Dart mission. Under this, a spacecraft was sent into space on November 24, 2021.

Recently, scientists found an asteroid called Didymes coming very close to Earth. Its diameter is two and a half thousand feet. It also has a stone called 'bull's eye' on it. His name is Dimorphs. Altogether, the asteroid is about the size of a football field.

Finally, at 7:30 PM local time, NASA's spacecraft hit the dimorphos as planned. Scientists are hopeful that the impact of the 22,500 km per hour vehicle will change the direction of the asteroid. Then the asteroid will be in another orbit. However, it will be known after two months whether the orbit of the asteroid has changed. If this mission is completely successful, NASA will make history.
