Sufi Maverick, the lead singer of the rock band Arbovirus, has ended his journey of one and a half years. Last Friday, he took the stage with Arbovirus for the last time at the Nadi Rocks concert in Dhaka.
As the reason for leaving the band, he told that the three members of Arbovirus, Ranjan (founding member, guitarist and songwriter), Nafis Al Amin (drummer) and Adnan (guitarist) had moved out of the country and it was becoming difficult to sing, that's why he decided to leave the band. he Three said that they will not join any other band after leaving Arbovirus.
Sufi comments on solo career, 'I have never thought of making a solo career. I thought of Arbovirus first. The team is bigger than the individual. I had a signboard of Arbovirus over my head. Now that I'm out of the arbovirus, I don't have the signboard over my head. If you want to build a solo career, you have to start from the beginning. I never had any intention of going solo. I want to move forward by planning and thinking.'
Sufi joined the band in 2002 after Arbovirus formed in 2001.
