Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury has passed away

deputy leader Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury is sadly, no longer with us. She passed away at
Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital at 11:40 pm on Sunday (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She was 87 years old.

Chowdhury is a brave freedom fighter and one of the organizers of the
liberation war. She is a member of the presidium of Awami League. She was
elected Member of Parliament several times from Faridpur-2 Constituency.

Chowdhury was sick for several years. She was admitted to the Combined
Military Hospital last week. She has three sons and one
daughter. Her husband Golam Akbar Chowdhury died in November 2015.
Sajeda Chowdhury's body will be taken from Dhaka on Monday
afternoon to his constituency Nagarkanda in Faridpur. After the funeral
there, his body will be brought back to Dhaka. A funeral will be held in
Dhaka at the South Plaza of the National Assembly. Her Assistant
Private Secretary (APS) said that she will be buried in Banani Cemetery.
