Three houses burnt down in Karnaphuli

A house of three families has been gutted by fire in Juldha of Karnaphuli. The families of Abudal Hamid, Abul Hossain and deceased Abdul Hafez have become destitute in the fire.

The fire incident took place at Ledur's new house in Anich Talukdar area of Juldha No. 4 ward of the upazila on Monday around noon.

At this time, Anwara Fire Service brought the fire under control after trying for an hour. The houses of Abudal Hamid, Abul Hossain and deceased Abdul Hafez were burnt.

Local UP member Jamshedul Alam Payaru confirmed the fire.

He said that the fire started from Abdul Hamid's house around 12:30 in the new house of Ledur in Ward No. 4 Anich Talukdar area of Juldha Union. In no time the fire spread all around.

Anwara Fire Service came and brought the fire under control. Besides, the police team also came and helped in extinguishing the fire.

Officer in charge of Shahmirpur police outpost, Amibhat Dutta, said that around 12:30 noon, three family rooms in one house were burnt to ashes due to an electrical short circuit in the new house of Ledur in Zuldhar Anich Talukdar area.

He said that a team of Anwara Fire Service came to control the fire after receiving the information through 999 but tried to control the fire for 1 hour, but the damage of 3 lakh taka and goods of 10 lakh taka were recovered.
