Expatriates kidnapped in Rangunia rescued in Rangamati

The police handed him over to his family on Friday afternoon. Earlier last Thursday at around 10 pm, the kidnapped Harun Shikder was rescued from Kanthaltali area of ​​Rangamati district town with the help of Rangamati Sadar police station and brought to Rangunia. In this regard, Chittagong Assistant Superintendent of Police (Rangunia-Raujan Circle). Anwar Hossain Shamim said, I rescued him from Rangamati. Then bring it to Rangunia. The abductor could not be caught as he fled leaving the abducted Haroon behind. However, efforts are underway to identify them and bring them under the law. When asked if it was possible to arrest the abductors in this incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dakshin Rangunia Police Station Obaidul Islam said that they fled leaving the abducted person behind. Due to which it was not possible to catch.

It is known that Harun Sikder, the son of Amin Sharif, a resident of East Sarfbhata Sikder neighborhood under Dakshin Rangunia police station, went missing after leaving his house at around 8 pm last Tuesday.
Amin Sharif, the father of the missing Haroon, said that a few hours after the disappearance, the family received a voice message on the mobile phone saying that Haroon would kill them. They then filed a General Diary (GD) at the South Rangunia Police Station at midnight. Haroon's family members also paid a ransom of Tk 50,000 to two mobile numbers on Wednesday morning to get him back. Even then the miscreants did not leave him. Instead they press for more money and otherwise threaten to kill the abductee. Finally, using information technology, the police managed to rescue the abducted Haroon after 48 hours of the incident.
