Surprise in Germany's World Cup team

Germany announced the final 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar. 17-year-old forward Yusuf Moukoko is a surprise addition to Hansi Flick's team. He has not yet made his debut in the German national team. However, he is playing five matches in the under-21 team and scored 6 goals.

Apart from this, Mario Götze, who scored in the 2014 World Cup final, is in the final team. However, experienced defender Matt Hummels did not have a place in the team.

Germany team:

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer, Andre ter Stegen and Kevin Trapp.

Defence : Armel Bella-Kotchap, Matthias Ginter, Christian Gunter, Thilo Kehrer, Lucas Klostermann, David Raum, Antonio Rudiger, Nico Schlotterbeck and Nicolas Sule.

Midfield : Julian Brandt, Niklas Fulkrug, Leon Gorezka, Mario Gotze, Ilkay Gundogan, Jonas Hofmann, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala.

Forwards: Karim Adeyemi, Serge Ginabri, Kai Havertz, Yusufah Mukoko, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane.
