21 years in prison for killing Lady Gaga's dog
A man who shot and injured Lady Gaga's dog Walker has been sentenced to 21 years in prison. His name is James Howard Jackson. It is said that the criminal did not plead in his defence. He was sentenced for the attempted murder of dog trainer Ryan Fisher in connection with a dog theft.
In 2021, Lady Gaga's dog trainer Ryan Fisher was walking
Gaga's 4 French bulldogs. Jackson and his accomplices then attacked to
steal the dog and at one point shot Ryan in the chest. A dog was killed in
the shooting and Ryan was wounded. One dog escaped from the spot and they
took the other two dogs.
Mr. Fisher was present in court during the hearing of
the case. He says he had to have part of his lung removed after the
attack. He is back from the dead. This attack changed his life. Convicted
James Howard Jackson also pleaded guilty in court to shooting Ryan Fisher in
the chest.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office called the
attack a cold-blooded act of violence. Jackson was charged with several
other charges that were dismissed as part of a plea deal. However, he was
sentenced on the charge of murder Chester.
On the day of the incident, Jackson and four other
accomplices shot and took two dogs named Cozy and Gustav. A dog named
Walker was shot dead. The dog named Bulldog 'Miss Asia'
escaped. Police later found the dog. Two stolen dogs were returned
unharmed two days after Gaga offered a $500,000 reward.
In this incident, the police said that Lady Gaga was
not targeted as a dog. Dogs are attacked and taken because of their breed.
Another Jackson associate, Harold White, who is serving a
21-year sentence, will be sentenced next year, prosecutors said. Harold
White's sons Jaylin Keeshon White and Lafayette Shawn Whaley were both
convicted last year of second-degree robbery and sentenced to four and six
years in prison, respectively.
