In the evening, Sheikh Hasina presided over the Awami League
presidium meeting at Ganobhaban, the official residence of the prime minister.
In that meeting, there was a discussion about who will be given place in the
vacant positions of the new committee.
Obaidul Quader told reporters at the gate of Ganobhaban that Mashrafe Bin Murtaza was made Youth and Sports Secretary in one of the vacant positions of the Executive Parliament in the meeting of the Presidium today. And the President has been given the responsibility to fill all the remaining posts.
Sheikh Hasina was re-elected as president at the 22nd National Conference of Awami League at Suhrawardy Udyan last Saturday. General Secretary Obaidul Quader also remains in his post. On that day, 48 posts of the 81-member Central Committee were announced.
Remaining 33 posts are kept vacant. Today, including Mashrafe in one post, 32 more posts are vacant. Among them, 28 posts are executive members. Apart from this, two posts of Deputy Publicity Secretary, Labor Affairs Secretary and Presidium are vacant.
