Prime Minister's tribute at Bangabandhu's tomb in Tungipara

 


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina offered flowers and prayers at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara on Friday.

The Prime Minister on Friday recited Fateha accompanied by her younger sister Sheikh Rehana and joined the prayers to pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who were brutally murdered on August 15, 1975. Sheikh Hasina and her family members were prayed for good health and long life as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country. His Assistant Press Secretary MM Imrul Kayes, who was with the Prime Minister, confirmed this information. Earlier, the Prime Minister paid deep respect to Bangabandhu's memory by placing wreaths at his tomb.

After laying the wreath, he stood in silence for a moment to pay deep respect to the memory of the architect of freedom, who was brutally killed along with his family members by some errant army personnel on the fateful night of August 15, 1975. The Prime Minister's family members were present at this time. Prime Minister reached Tungipara of Gopalganj by road at 10:10 am after crossing the Padma multipurpose bridge. On the way to Tungipara, Sheikh Rehana, the youngest daughter of the father of the nation, paid toll for 17 cars at Padma Bridge.
